'''Lord Makarta''' once led the [[Ivory Mark]], the organisation dedicated to avenging those unable to do so for themselves, in the fishing town of [[Jaru]]. Day after day he donned his stunning suit of ivory armour and stood outside the home of the Ivory Mark on Bridge Street where he waited to register prospective members.

Makarta was passed the [[Blade of the Masters]] by his mentor, the assassin [[Callibius]]. He held onto it for many years until it was stolen and cursed by [[Derillin Yu'tar]] in 401 AF, resulting in the creation of the [[arenas|arena]] game called [[Champions vs Assassins]]. For a time, he took Derillin as a protege who later revealed himself to be Callibius' son.

During the year 446, Lord Makarta was murdered while attending a wedding at the [[Scarlattan Theatre]] in [[Delos]]. [[Naoise]], the liquor merchant, came upon the scene and began yelling, alerting [[adventurer]]s to the incident. Those present were witness to the verbal taunts of a shadowy, cloaked figure who was later linked to the [[Quisalis Mark]].
