'''Transfix''' is an ability in [[Elementalism]] which causes the victim to be held spellbound by patterns of Air and Fire. Masters of [[Runelore]] can also imbue [[totems]] with the power to transfix. Abilities from other [[:category:skills|skills]] can cause transfixation as well, such as usage of a [[Woodlore]] [[butterflies|butterfly]]. A transfixed victim is unable to do much until they have wrested their mind free by [[writhe|writhing]]. If the victim is [[Blindness|blind]], they will not lapse into this paralysed state of mind. However, a master of Elementalism may also use transfix to remove the [[defence]] of blindness.
