'''Blood leeches''' reside in the [[sewers]] of [[Cyrene]]. Over seven feet long, these slimy, black, slug-like creatures are believed by some to be even more feared than the [[thugs]] found in other [[:Category:Cities|city]] sewers because of their tendency to split into four smaller but altogether deadlier leeches. Covered in filth and detritus, they slop and slide through the sewers, quickly tracking their fleeing victim over long distances if necessary, usually until the hapless [[adventurer]] escapes through a sewer grate. Even the most seasoned hunters tread carefully around blood leech territory, as a single misstep could result in the dangerous concentration of leeches in a particular section of the sewers, all waiting to turn hunters into the hunted.
