When the Falls became volatile during [[Ethian's Crossing]], blood could be poured over them to either defile or sanctify the falls. When it was sufficiently defiled the water took on the colour of blood, becoming known as The Blood Falls and produced [[Necromantic essence|Essence]] for [[Necromancy]] users. If the falls had been sufficiently purified by the opposition, the waters were crystal clear and it was known as The Celestial Falls, generating [[Devotion]] for [[Spirituality]] users.

When the ritual conducted by the [[Conclave]] failed and distorted all the [[landmarks]], the Falls were left ruddy and murky until the last of its power was sacrificed years later to birth the Goddess [[Makali]].
