''Necromantic essence'', more commonly referred to as just ''essence'', is a power that people who wield [[Necromancy]] and [[Apostasy]] draw on for their powers. It is similar to [[Devotional essence]]. Those who have become [[Anathema|anathemised]] lose their ability to regain this essence.
