O Mother of men, Thy servant calls
Look upon me. As I stand in your halls
Salvation I call for, I have not yet done
What for me is written, I've barely begun

I pray for salvation, return me to life
I am but a mother, a thief and a wife
But I make a difference, for good and for bad
And I dwell on the moments of joy I have had

I hear your voice Mother, afore You I see
'Child of Mine, enter and approach Me'
Tapestries cause me, to hide and to fear
Knees shake as I tremble, scared to draw near

I pray for salvation, return me to life
I am but a mother, a thief and a wife
But I make a difference, for good and for bad
And I dwell on the moments of joy I have had

I have asked for salvation, from my dark fate
Life's sweet taste, I loved too late
To the left of me Evil, to the right of me Good
And my soul trembles to see, all that I could

I pray for salvation, return me to life
I am but a mother, a thief and a wife
But I make a difference, for good and for bad
And I dwell on the moments of joy I have had

Mother Maya I see you, the power so great
You are my hope, my chance to break fate
Your eyes they see through me, past all my lies
I fall to my knees, unable to rise

I pray for salvation, return me to life
I am but a mother, a thief and a wife
But I make a difference, for good and for bad
And I dwell on the moments of joy I have had

Tears spill freely, as I beg for return
So much to do still, to see and to learn,
Unable to speak them, the words silent spill
You stand and You watch me, Your face set still

I pray for salvation, return me to life
I am but a mother, a thief and a wife
But I make a difference, for good and for bad
And I dwell on the moments of joy I have had

Your voice when it comes, I almost can't hear
'Very well' you whisper, and my heart leaps with fear
You take my mortal form, in Your powerful hand
And I slip into blackness beyond mortal lands

I pray for salvation, return me to life
I am but a mother, a thief and a wife
But I make a difference, for good and for bad
And I dwell on the moments of joy I have had

As the blackness it takes me, I hear but a word
'Grow' echoes inside me, unseen and unheard
As my body returns, weaker but strong
And I know You will claim me, before too very long

I give thanks to the Mother, who gave me this life
And leave the cave, to re-enter the strife
And I know that You hear me, as I whisper my prayer
And you watch me to see, how with this life I fare
