I'm just a little baby rat,
Truly horrible at combat.
And it's not just the neighborhood cat
Trying to get a piece of that.
I am valued at only seven gold
An' although our numbers may be uncontrolled,
I'm just one little rat
Why d'you got to keep picking on me?

We rats really aren't that dire
So why did Hakhim gotta go and hire
A bunch of newbie's who aspire
To see all the baby rats expire?
It's become so I can't leave my home
Because Shallam all these ratters comb.
I'm just one little rat
Why d'you got to keep picking on me??

Go on, go and find some other prey
Something not small, furry and grey.
I'm not trying to lead you astray
But killing rats is really passé.
You know, wildcats are worth 43 gold more
Than you could ever hope to get from my corpse
I'm just one little rat
Why d'you got to keep picking on me?

This story's got a moral, too.
How'd you like something, picking on you?
This rat-killing has got to subdue.
Try to see things from a baby rat's view.
So the next time you're going to kill
One of my brothers, just for the thrill
Remember, we're just little rats,
And, come on, stop picking on me!
