Nelbennir

Nelbennir are a subterranean race of slug-like humanoids found on the jungle isle of Tuar. The grey skinned creatures love the shadows and have globular, protruding eyeballs but notoriously bad eyesight. They make squelching sounds but it is not known if they can speak the Achaean language with their tentacled mouths. Nelbennir typically robe themselves and wear leather scent-pouches which they inhale red powder from, though whether their purpose is aesthetic or as breathing apparatuses is up for debate. Nelbennir are at odds with lamarians which they hunt mercilessly.
