The following is a record of one of the sea shanties my frequently preoccupied

crew has been singing of late. At least I know now what's on their minds:

Goodbye, oh goodbye, to you Mysian ladies,

Farewell, oh farewell, to you ladies who please,

Though our wandering take us all 'round the world,

At your doorstep we'll be soon as we catch the breeze.

And with our first stop, we'll land

At Ulangi jungles, hot and fair

And with our first stop, we'll mourn

For here the sun lights no blond curl

And the moon graces no lovely girl

And we'll dream of a pair

Of Mysian ladies so rare.

Goodbye, oh goodbye, to you Mysian ladies,

Farewell, oh farewell, to you ladies who please,

Though our wandering take us all 'round the world,

At your doorstep we'll be as soon as we catch the breeze.

And with our second port, we'll put in

In the Ilyrean north, so far away

And with our second port, we'll lament

For here there's no lady so lovely

And no woman so comely!

And we'll dream of your sway

Dancing there on the quay.

Goodbye, oh goodbye, to you Mysian ladies,

Farewell, oh farewell, to you ladies who please,

Though our wandering take us all 'round the world,

At your doorstep we'll be as soon as we catch the breeze.

With our final weigh-in, we'll be

Far off in midnight Valho so black

With our final weigh-in, we'll bemoan

For here there be no siren face

No females a'tall in this place!

And we'll dream of your rack,

Before we feel her smack.

Goodbye, oh goodbye, to you Mysian ladies,

Farewell, oh farewell, to you ladies who please,

Though our wandering take us all 'round the world,

At your doorstep we'll be as soon as we catch the breeze.

But never will she understand,

This captain of ours.

Never will she catch on:

No more Tuars!

No more Zanzibaars!

There's beauty, we know

On Eirenwaar's icy flow.

There's excitement, we've seen

On Prin's brilliant green.

There's more to be done,

In the Meropian sun.

But she'll never quite see it

From our point of view;

To really comprehend it

Ya have to be manly too!

Goodbye, oh goodbye, to you Mysian ladies,

Farewell, oh farewell, to you ladies who please,

Though our wandering take us all 'round the world,

We'll be there beside you before you can sneeze!
