The Crucible of Flames soars skyward in a swirling dance of coloured fire. The orange, scarlet, purple, and amber flames erupt forth from the small polished black marble base scrawled with silver runes. Despite the fact that the fire constantly remains in flux, dying and flaring up again, the twisting tumult of flames maintains the shape of a slender vessel opening like an iris at its apex. Attuned to the Warlocks of the Rising Phoenix, the crucible resides within the Phoenix's Nest on Nishnatoba.

The crucible was extinguished in the year 440 AF by Mhaldorian forces and rebuilt in the year 460 AF only to be brought down again in the year 540 AF by Shallamese and Eleusian forces. Shortly after, the tides turned and the icon was raised again and currently stands.

The Crucible was destroyed by Lady Lorielan's summoning of the Ventos Allegos.
