The Crucible of Flames was an icon attuned to the Warlocks of the Rising Phoenix. Resting in the Phoenix's Nest area, its energy soared skyward in a swirling dance of coloured fire. The orange, scarlet, purple, and amber flames erupted forth from the small polished black marble base scrawled with silver runes. Despite the fact that the fire constantly remained in flux, dying and flaring up again, the twisting tumult of flames maintained the shape of a slender vessel opening like an iris at its apex.

The crucible was extinguished in the year 440 AF by Mhaldorian forces and rebuilt in the year 460 AF only to be brought down again in the year 540 AF by Shallamese and Eleusian forces. Shortly after, the tides turned and the icon was raised again.

The Crucible was destroyed a final time by the summoning of the Ventos Allegos.
