I don't have a name, I don't have a home. I have nothing... The streets are filthy, always occupied... the rats, they nip at my feet. So cold, so hungry. I wish someone would help me...

~A "thud" is heard and the blinding pain so excrutiating that it becomes barely felt, the pained cry unheard... or ignored...~

Scraps of rotting meat, they taste awful, so terrible it makes my stomach heave, but it's all I have lest I starve. My stomach hurts so much. I wish momma and poppa will still here to take care of me. I'm so alone... won't someone rescue me from this nightmare?

Sometimes strangers give me gold, clothes, all sorts of things. But it doesn't matter, the footpads take them from me anyway. "Go to the orphanage" the Warwitches say. I don't know where that is... I can't walk... my feet hurt too much, my head so light from hunger...

Everyone else seems to be finding homes or shelter, some of the other kids are gone. Perhaps they've found the 'orphanage'. I wish someone would take me there too...

I can't move anymore. starving, too weak. Are you looking at me? Is that for me? Oh thank you, thank you! It tastes so good, so sweet. Are you taking me somewhere safe, did the orphanage send you? I can't walk fast, but I'll follow as best I can. Oh, I'm so sorry to be a bother, my feet give way so fast. I'm very heavy aren't I?

Are you leaving now? Alright. Thank you so much. Goodbye kind stranger. I have a home now. It's warm, and everyone looks so happy in those pictures. The smell of food is so good, I could eat the air. The caretaker says I have to go get changed...

This room is so dark... there's a strange smell too... where...
