Charith Ka'Tal strolled with carefree ease through the streets of Hashan. She had finished her daily ratting run, the gold from it jangling in her pockets, and was in search of idle chatter or amusement to pass the time. Where better to go than the Hashan Crossroads? There, Charith could see a young man holding up a small crystalline pendant that marked his place in the Order of Selene. He said no words but his movements conveyed his speech.

...Look at my beautiful pendant...

Charith's hand absently went up and brushed against the Pendant of Oceans she had been wearing for quite some time now. Someone in the crowd noticed and emitted a small "Ooh..." The young man, she noted and recognized now, was Reptillios. She smirked and held her Pendant aloft, as he had done, to allow the crowd to gaze upon its beauty. She flashed Reptillios a smirk.

...Mine's better...

Reptillios stuck his tounge out at her playfully.

...It is not! ...

The crowd began to disperse so she tucked it back into her snakeskin cloak and gave a light shrug.

...Oh well...

She extended her light blue wings out and ruffled them gently.

...I grow bored with our competition anyways...

Reptillios grinned and extended his wings to now be visible, mocking her in a ruffle of his own feathers. Laughter gleamed in his eyes while Charith blinked and smiled in happy recognition.

...Ah, another Atavian! ....

She grinned and slide over to him, preening his wings in the customary Atavian style, offering her friendship. He smiled and quickly preened her back, leaving her in giggles.

...Thank you...

The smile he returned back was just as friendly as the gesture had been.

...No problem...

Now noticing the time that had passed and how she now had things to attend to, she walked with the same ease as before to the Altar of Peace, thinking to herself. So easy it can be to make friends when no words need to be exchanged. "I suppose," she said aloud to herself in almost a whisper, "that less really is more."
