The Road to Mhaldor

Within a shroud of scarlet
The caged bodies sway
Whilst beneath them, for their souls
The demons sit and play.

Bodies rot in a suit of iron
Their spirits trapped within
Shackled by blackest evil
And bound by deepest sin

They know it's not forever
For, each Logosween
Out of the hidden places
Come creatures rarely seen

They meet beneath their victims
And the soul is scrutinised
They strip the spirit bare
Its secrets harshly prised.

When each demon's satisfied
They play unearthly games
Of rules obscure and twisted,
And with necromantic names.

Mhaldor's crimson mist conceals
Within its blood-tinged dreams
Souls torn from their corpses
And their silent, ethereal screams.

At Logosween, near Mhaldor,
The caged bodies sway
Whilst beneath them, for their souls
The demons sit and play.
