The Guard Pig of Lodi

By: Kitarel Posted on: October 16, 2010

Fresh from the flame here I am,

Bright faced and full of life.

Nothing but the clothes on my back

Not a care or a strife.

I walk around for days on end

Albeit quite lost.

Hunger invaded every sense

My stomach now my boss.

There I spotted something small

That would taste quite delicious on a spit.

Something cute and quite pink

In Lodi I met the guard pig.

I morphed as quickly as I could

It barely spared me half a glance.

Spirit of the hyena deep within

Hunger had me in a trance.

I pounced and mauled but to my surprise

It leapt high into the air.

With agility and shocking grace

This pig did not fight fair.

One swift kick to the nose

He floored me with one hit.

Bleeding quick, my vision blurred

My vision was fading quick.

Lesson one: Don't rush a pig

He's swifter than you think.

Lesson two: He hits quite hard

If you have some health don't be afraid to drink.

I don't know if you can remember

Being in Lodi when you were young.

Tell your children before they go

If you see the guard pig - just run.
