The Anglers Anthem
When the day before you looks too long,
Then just remember the words of this song, Head on down to one of the lakes,
but be ready to wait as long as it takes!

Oh the life of a fisherman is great indeed,
Casting a line and drinking mead.
He wakes up at the crack of dawn,
Out to the lake 'fore as his clothes are on!

Now fishing is a little harder than it seems,
But that's not the reason we go in teams! No!
'Cause when the fish aren't biting
There's no use fighting,
So kick back and relax!

Oh the life of a fisherman is great indeed,
Casting a line and drinking mead.
He wakes up at the crack of dawn,
Out to the lake 'fore as his clothes are on!

It starts with a little jiggle, there's something on your hook!
Then comes a little wiggle, it's a little fishy crook!
Below the surface it eyes your bait,
Now you've got him, but you must wait -
For the jerk on your line, that tells you it's time,
To jerk your line, but at the right time, and snare the little beast!

Oh the life of a fisherman is great indeed,
Casting the line and drinking mead.
He wakes up at the crack of dawn,
Out to the lake 'fore his clothes are on!

Once the sucker's on your string,
Keeping calm is just the thing,
So use your head, stay your hand,
And soon you'll have him on dry land -
Did you bait the line with big or small -
Worm, mudsucker, or anything at all?

Oh the life of a fisherman is great indeed,
Casting the line and drinking mead.
He wakes up at the crack of dawn,
Out to the lake 'fore his clothes are on!

The sparkling scales reflect in the water,
And the sun over Sapience is shining hotter -
So now it's time to finish the job
But take it easy, for you're sure to sob...
If you reel it to fast, as we've done in the past,
And snap your line in two!

Oh the life of a fisherman is great indeed,
'Cause even if his pole is gone,
Spent all his bait just after dawn,
He's still got the company of all his friends,
So that won't be where his fun ends,
For he has sun, surf, space and sand...
... And a flagon full of mead!
