Aldar are mortal beings. They don't have divine essence. Maya has divine-style honors as an side effect of being former divine probably. Supporting quotes below:

  • 'At the last, he created the Elder Gods and the Aldar, to serve them. The Elder Gods he infused with a small, finite, portion of his own boundless power and gave them the gift of immortality. To the Aldar he gave great power exceeding that of virtually all beings save for the Gods. ' http://www.achaea.com/genesis

Nowhere does it say Ayar made Aldar immortal.

In fact, when Maya reverted to Aldar and she said quite clearly she is returned to a mortal life.

  • With a silent nod, the God of Death gave his consent, and Maya returned a bittersweet smile. "The joys of a mortal life have long been beyond my reach," she said, "but no more. One day I, too, will stand before you." http://www.achaea.com/game/news/Achaea/events/420

Enheduanna was another Aldar, killed (albeit with great difficulty) by mortals. No divine fire.

  • Even as her power roared in waves of murderous flame through the caverns, it turned upon her. The flames that had previously been subject to her will now lashed out to scorch her flesh, and, within moments, her screaming form was consumed entirely by a blazing inferno that left only cinders in its wake. Enheduanna was slain, her power broken, and the Chaotic taint quietly seeped out of the Shamtota Hills. http://www.achaea.com/game/news/Achaea/events/278 --Halos 03:51, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
