Rising as much as fifty percent above the mountains around them, the '''Pillars of Heaven''' are easily the tallest mountains in the [[Vashnar Mountains|Vashnar]] range. These legendary peaks, located in the west-central section of the Vashnars, are where the [[Garden of the Gods]] resides. The mountains themselves are held upright only by the trunk of the world tree [[Yggdrasil]], which grows upward through them. Constant blizzards atop this range ensure that only the hardiest of mortals ever see the gates of the Garden.
