The Naga are a House based in Mhaldor, converted from the serpent-class Guild of the same name. Their secluded estate may be found within the Spire of Torment, which resides in Mhaldor's Baelgrim Fortress.

The organisation became a House in the year 396 AF.
Founding
Yig Dracrotalus (born Aeguary 12, 287 AF) was an early citizen of Mhaldor. In the year 315 AF he founded the Naga guild, an organisation dedicated to serving as the city's thieves and assassins and delighting in the suffering of the foes of Evil from the shadows.

Over the years, the Naga have worked with numerous treaties and alliances to strengthen their influence, negotiating with Hashan, the Ashura, and avoiding robbing forestals to prevent an herb ban, all at various stages of the Guild's advancement. Some negotiations would be temporary, others long-standing, depending on the desires of the Nagaraja, or Guildmaster, at the time.
Political History
Patrons
In 328 AF, the Naga gained Magog, the Collector, a denizen that brought some unusual goods with him and stayed to serve the Guild. He remains there to this day.
:315 AF - Lord Sartan became the first Patron of the Naga.
:396 AF - Lord Apollyon replaced Lord Sartan, after the Sundering.
:593 AF - Lady Keresis replaced Lord Shaitan.

Lord Thoth approached the Naga at one point to create a Warp Hub, which would be named Visadhara-Nilaya, similar to that in Ashtan. Though it was constructed, it was later abandoned for a series of warps across Sartan's Island.
Leadership - Nagaraja/Nagarani
:315 AF - Founder: Yig.
:336 AF - Watchman replaced Yig as the Nagaraja.
:344 AF - Kaset replaced Watchman as the Nagaraja.
:350 AF - Ulrike replaced Kaset as the Nagaraja, and became the Nagarani in turn.
:360 AF - Watchman replaced Ulrike as the Nagarani, and became the Nagaraja in turn.
:366 AF - Silvaria replaced Watchman as the Nagaraja, and became the Nagarani in turn.
:373 AF - Karloptimux replaced Silvaria as the Nagarani, and became the Nagaraja in turn.
:394 AF - Syprius replaced Karloptimux as the Nagaraja.
:409 AF - Arcrisius replaced Syprius as the Nagaraja.
:430 AF - Ulrike replaced Arcrisius as the Nagaraja, and became the Nagarani in turn.
:514 AF - Balynne replaced Ulrike as the Nagarani.
:544 AF - Jiraishin replaced Balynne as the Nagarani, and became the Nagaraja in turn.
:550 AF - Mycen replaced Jiraishin as the Nagaraja.
:579 AF - Balynne replaced Mycen as the Nagaraja, and became the Nagarani in turn.
:584 AF - Tvistor replaced Balynne as the Nagarani, and became the Nagaraja in turn.

One of the more unusual events in the Guild's history occurred in 395 AF when the then Nagaraja, Karloptimux, turned to treason and attempted a political upheaval against the Tyrannus. This was quickly quelled, and Karloptimux was cast out in disgrace.
Icon History
No icon has yet been raised in honour of the Naga.
In 396 AF, the Sundering occurred and Lord Apollyon took over the Patronship of the Guild from Lord Sartan. It was in this same year that the Guild was transformed into a House.

Nagaraja
House leaders of the Naga are called Nagaraja (masculine) or Nagarani (feminine).
