Several varieties of mushrooms can be found growing throughout Sapience. Overall, they may lack the well-documented healing properties characteristic of the herbs in the land, but there are still a number of different uses attributed to each mushroom.
Perhaps the most famous of all mushrooms are the purple, yellow-spotted ones, which can be found popping up randomly throughout the Black Forest. When eaten, they transport adventurers to the hallucinogenic land of Bopalopia.
Other kinds of mushrooms include:
- White mushrooms, in the Great Rock
- Phosphorescent mushrooms,in the den of the manticores
- Spotted Black mushroom, on the Valho Coast
- Luminescent orange mushrooms, in the Caverns of Nuskuwe
- Brown, white-spotted mushrooms, in the Aalen Forest
- Virulent puffballs of Grukai Swamp
