Beware ye. Within this scroll are the riddles told by Shorin Quicksilver to the house of the Sylvans in the years 405 and 406 AF. They are ghoulish riddles, ghastly puzzles and grim mindbenders. Attempt only if you dare, and consider yourself warned.

1) My noxious black fumes float up to the sky,
Tell me, my pretties, what (not who) am I?
Resident of fungus, reaper of doom,
Keeper of spirits, rider of broom.
I ask you to bring me, eye hair and heart,
Yet I see your eyes are beginning to dart.
If that horrid lovely would be gone from my mind,
Then this land of fantasy surely would be mine.

2) Fiend of all four, sign of dark tidings,
My costume you'll find is quite good for hiding.
My coal-tinted self is quite small, but quite scary,
Devourer of rodents, birds, perhaps fairies.
Sould our futures cross, you'd better watch out,
Tell me, what is my name? When you find out, you'll shout.

3) Double edged sword, both terror and tame.
Should you be my victim, you'll surely find shame.
When silver shows in the sky up so high,
They'll all see the evil that lurks in your eye.
You can try to cover up, though they'll still find you scary,
You'd have better luck hiding if you weren't quite so hairy.

4) Child of night, prince of darkness, I've many names,
I roam through the graveyard, seeking those who I'd maim.
I thirst for your lifeforce, dear mortal mine,
What be my species? you're running out of time.

5) Demon o' eight, countless of eyes
Not human, nor beast, nor bird, fish or flies.
A mix of three, perhaps, dweller of wood,
You'd best run fast, or you'll see the damage it could.

6) This one a mystery, even to me.
If you'd ever seen one you surely would see.
Ridden by some, yet feared by all.
It's amazing to see it take flight and not fall.
Figure frozen in stone, yet animate still,
Bought in the graveyard of the castle on hill.

7) Wretched Wrappings, corpse alive,
You see it once, heart takes a dive.
Shuffles towards you, you're paralised,
Tell it's name if you've realized.

8) Lord of the demons in the Underworld dwell,
Like a creature of Sartan, emerging from hell.
Strongest of the land, only the best stay alive,
Peek under his helm , where the evil does thrive.
Give me his name, two words for this scare,
That's all I request. Name him if you dare.

9) A being of fright, a scare to most all,
You'd best watch your step or through them you might fall.
If you can see through it's transparent disguise,
Then tell me the name that you're sure to derive.

10) Spoiled rotten, us goons, you're sure to discover,
Don't look too deep, fear what you'd uncover.
The evil that drew us from far past our grave,
Quite evil indeed, it's sure to amaze.
