The Luminai, a group of Priests and Paladins that aggressively fought against the threat of ancient Occultists, were blamed for torturing cabals of Occultists and destroying their historical texts in a period known as the Burning Times. The leader changed periodically throughout history, as the Emminent Master of the Luminai was always the Archprelate of the Holy Church.
