A lavishly gilded pet cage is an ornate portable home for a pet or minipet. Once dropped in a location and the owner's animal placed therein, the cage and its inhabitant will patiently remain there indefinitely. Any adventurer may take the creature from the cage but it will always return to that cage after one Achaean day rather than the owner's inventory. The cage can be uprooted for normal resetting to apply to both artefact cage and pet once more.
