King's Chess was invented before the rise of the Seleucarian Empire, circa 1271 BF, by a Sultan of Shallam named Caro-Kann. It is a fairly simple game that pits the cunning, intelligence, and strategic sensibilities of one player against those of the other. Though every game is always between only two players, opponents may choose to postpone completion of their particular game until any time, granted they both resume gameplay at the same location and in the presence of a chessboard.
