Her eyes stared out at the lake before her, a gentle wisp of wind causing havoc with her hair before finally letting it rest upon her face. She swept it away, blinking slightly before looking towards the lake once more, a look of deep despair riding across her face.

"Khulhedra, Khulhedra! Where are you?"
"Mother, mother! Oh if only you knew!" Called back a distant voice.

She sank to her knees, her legs folded beneath her in a sweet elegance. A frown formed on her gentle face as the thoughts long held back came flooding forth, and with them glittering tears.

"Khulhedra, Khulhedra! Where are you?"
"Mother, mother! Oh if only you knew!" Called back a distant voice.

"Khulhedra, Khulhedra! Where are you?"
"Mother, mother! Oh if only you knew!" Called back a distant voice.

Nothing appeared from the ripples that now lapped against the lakes edge, nor did another one occur to mimic the first; the lake was smooth save the winds attempts at minuture waves. She sighed, her hopes now dead and her emotions too high to fully concentrate; forever would the guardian, her daughter now lost, remain in hiding.

"Khulhedra, Khulhedra! Where are you?"
"Mother, mother! Oh if only you knew!" Called back a distant voice...
