Oh lost little pieces from fallen trees
Don't you know how much you mean to me
Finding you in stock is quite the task
Your return, in abundance, is all I ask

Master forgers need you for their trade
Forging shields and axes for their raid
Jesters need wood to hone their skill
Creating living puppets used to kill

Roaring campfires provide aide in rest
Soothing comfort during novice tests
Without the presence of the mighty oak
We'd have no wood, with which to stoke

City and village expansions need you most
Sturdy walls and homes from which to boast
Prevention, caution, and defense are key
Great wooden totems protect your fair city

I've missed your presence in the lands
Your near weightlessness upon my hands
Quickly return to me, faithful friend
With a hopeful note, this poem I end
