Hobgoblins are a goblinoid race similar to goblins, but are much more powerful, and about as tall as humans. They are native to the Underrealm, as are all goblinoid races, but they may be found in the lower level of Azdun, as well.

As with all goblinoids, hobgoblins are possessed of a brutish idiocy, but they were not always so. Once, the goblinoids were a noble warrior culture, fighting for honour instead of bloodsport, but all that changed when the Tsol'teth made them into their present state by altering their spiral ribbons of future creation.
