To sleep, perhaps to dream

as Somnustra's heavens cast

grey shadows upon the minds

of sleeping Sapients.

Betwixt a Weaver's fabric, this,

planar portal great

is Dreamers' wake that dubs

what no one can escape.

Alas! No mercy for the restless

when Dibbuk's madness seeps

to soak the naked conscious

eclipsed below and drive the sane

to feats of marvelled change

as fevered Vixen dreamt of Wooded lore.

And too, it plagues a Prophet great

when Averroes cannot escape

the pull of dreamt destruction due

to fallen suns.

Through dreams the stirring of a Lady Green

awakes, but tainted demons wyrm Her will,

like wing'd Goddess raped by Seven Truths

for nightmares of Apostasy.

And Dreamscourge demon born

of thick Aegean red

has ravaged us like nychtaurs birthed

of Thoth and Night Eternal,

growing due to dreaming dead

as weirwood does.

But lo! Beneath her golden hair

young Tiah dreams of Vashnars' heart

to play a bardic part

on stages gold as those

which shine Ceylonic splendour like

Nikolas' dreams of bright Seleucar.

And dreams of divination dreamt

by Logosian slumber, Love and Beauty owed

to dreams again.

Nothing else to touch

the full'd width of living ken

of truth divine or mortal men

as dreams that harbour inner triumph

or grief's impassioned horrors

beyond the corporeal like

caresses of soft Valnurana grey.

And when the newbie sleeps

for health regaining,

partake of Dreams of Divine Lands

beneath the starry sky that winks our myths and legends.
