Life would have more meaning
And I would have less care
If I could simply sit and be
That curl of copper hair.
I would have less worries
Life would be more free
If those emerald eyes
Would oft' look upon me.
You hide your face behind those veils
Yet I could look beneath
And steal a glance at you face
Like some lucky, blessed thief.
To flutter as you drew a breath
And brush against your brow
To move against your pale skin
As you gave a graceful bow.
That simple curl bewitches
Enters my dreams and mind
And makes me wish to lift the veil
To see what wonders I would find.
