Flares, when loaded into an Arcanian arm, onager, or ballista, can be fired up or at opposing ships. They illuminate the immediate sea area and de-cloak any cloaked ships nearby, or if fired directly at ships, will set its sails on fire.
When fired at sea monsters, flares will stun them, preventing a creature's movement for a short time.
