The ettin are an interplanar race of two-headed giants. Each of their heads appears to have a mind of its own, indeed even a name of its own, sharing a humanoid body. The name of each ettin is simply a conjunction of the names of their heads. The ettin people make their home in the lower section of Yggdrasil in an unnamed city arranged about one of the World Tree's roots.
