Dunamis, which means 'The Justice that Was' in the language of the Aldar, was a lesser known spirit and first incarnation of the God Deucalion. In 2nd century AF Dunamis was contacted by Tassad Baraslan, a Church secretary. Due to the nature of the plane upon which Dunamis resided, which was purest order, Dunamis was unable to leave without causing chaos throughout Creation, a thing he opposed. Tassad, after much contemplation, decided to take Dunamis' place.

Though the exchange killed Tassad, Dunamis was able to pass out of the plane of Order into the rest of Creation. Upon his arrival, Sarapis elevated the being to godhood and renamed him Deucalion, or, 'The Justice that Is.'
