When the Council of Gods met,

To discuss the Bal'met threat,

"To arms, to arms!" Was the call,

So Many giving Their all.

A Few counselled "Not yet",

When the Council of Gods met.

We know not enough,

For Our best rebuff.

Daedalus called for Hermes' return,

A month we all waited with concern,

When the Council of Gods met,

Hermes was not back yet.

So a force was led through the rift,

Rival and Allied Gods, all swift,

But They played an unknown roulette,

When the Council of Gods met.

---

On a day of retaliation and rescue,

The Gods assembled for what was due,

And They left for Hermes,

Beyond the stars and seas.

Valiantly fought, this hearty Crew,

On a day of retaliation and rescue,

As They sought the needed Balance,

But were losing the bladed dance...

Divine fell One by One,

Smoted and undone,

On a day of retaliation and rescue,

Something with Hermes was askew...

Surprise a trap! "Fall back!"

Few escaped before the attack...

Hermes burst, killing Many anew

On a day of retaliation and rescue.

---

At a turning point in the Wars,

The Lord of Valour settled scores.

Calling the Twins to make account,

To end it 'ere treacheries surmount.

The battle was heard across the shores,

At a turning point in the Wars.

Suffering was sliced in twain,

Never to be seen again.

But His essence hung over Mhaldor dear,

Whence His Brother could use it near.

At a turning point in the Wars,

Lord Sartan arose to great roars.

What once was Hope turned to dust,

The small triumph become a bust,

But still resolve grew in Alls' cores,

At a turning point in the Wars.

---

Constant is Love whose Heart is pure,

Defying odds and death, She did secure,

The flickering life of Her Love,

She carried Him away and above.

Though Selene held no cure,

Constant is Love whose Heart is pure,

She stayed by Lord Lupus' side,

Watchful, loving, beautiful pride.

Until the day Bal'met came,

Trying to lay His foul claim,

Constant is Love whose Heart is pure,

And thus She was able to endure.

But His touch was tainted to the core,

And burned Her black, forevermore...

In Lupus, Her Love lives on to ensure,

Constant is Love whose Heart is pure.

---

When the Beast was caged helpless,

The day began with a behest,

By Agatheis near the Tree,

Calling for Bal'met "Come to Me!"

A trick he could not guess,

When the Beast was caged helpless,

And Agatheis disappeared,

To taunt him, mocking, in his ear.

Bal'met raged and aimed for the Garden,

Hunger and power come to harden,

When the Beast was caged helpless,

He was stopped by Phaestus, Success!

Runes flared and the trap was set,

The Six descended, a worthy threat,

As Bal'met looked on with much distress,

When the Beast was caged helpless.

---

At a battle of Gods in the Garden,

The transgressors found no pardon.

Joined by Keresis and Indrani,

Sartan assaulted His fellow Deity.

Daemons and dreadlords aided Lord Sartan

At a battle of Gods in the Garden.

Valiantly fought, Indrani fell first,

To Pandemonium's vengeful thirst.

Sun and Moon paired back-to-back,

'til laughter broke like a rumbling crack,

At a battle of Gods in the Garden,

As a fiery lance wounded Vastar then.

Those Who opposed the Evil Duo,

Closed in for a final, fatal show,

But then the unthinkable did happen...

At a battle of Gods in the Garden...

---

The price of a father's love displayed,

As a skeletal dragon joined the fray...

"Sycaerunax!" Bal'met called,

Leaving all appalled.

Thought dead beyond help, but he paid,

The price of a father's love displayed,

His decaying form broke through,

Freeing Bal'met, giving his due.

Formidable power as the dragon tore,

Through Anyone near and more.

The price of a father's love displayed,

In the fearsome figure clearly enslaved.

A blessing Ashaxei could not see,

What her dear father has come to be...

To witness the result of that trade...

The price of a father's love displayed...

---

When the Father of Dragons returned,

It was a horrid sight as the Garden burned...

Divine died proudly fighting each One...

His will too strong to be undone.

All who watched, deeply concerned,

When the Father of Dragons returned.

Strife, Seasons, and Sun no more...

Before Babel aided a Rival abhorred.

Pentharian with Sartan battled locked,

As the Others escaped greatly shocked.

When the Father of Dragons returned,

The battle was forced to adjourn...

But the Evil Ones were not through,

As Pentharian, Bal'met slew...

Releasing holy light spurned...

When the Father of Dragons returned.

---

As the Last to fall on this tragic day,

Lady Tarah made Her way,

To save the Sword of Dunamis,

Per Pentharian's final hiss.

But Her retreat had gone astray...

As the Last to fall on this tragic day,

She threw the relic to Shallam's keeping,

Before She was eaten, a dragon's reaping.

Lord Aeon appeared and Time slowed,

As away the retreating Gods flowed.

As the Last to fall on this tragic day,

She died not in vain dismay.

Though Evil and Vengeance smirked on,

The final battle and war was not yet won...

Tarah's sacrifice gave opportune delay,

As the Last to fall on this tragic day.
