A '''disc of mirrored [[obsidian]]''' is a foot-long, paper-thin polished disc reinforced with magic and mithril. One may create a frozen, properly coloured image of a room, an [[adventurer]], a [[denizen]], or a [[objects|object]]. The mechanism requires a cube of [[elemental ice]] to function, which will be used up. Simply pointing the disc at the desired target will produce the frozen image for the benefit of posterity.
