Deafness is an aural affliction resulting in the inability to hear. Because being deaf also confers resistance to certain theft tactics, it can also be counted as a defence. Those who are deaf may not be able to listen to certain channels of communication, such as yells.
Deafness is cured by the application of an epidermal salve, and can be caused by consumption of the hawthorn berry or administration of the colocasia venom.
The mindseye tattoo will allow one to hear while deaf, but is not a cure for deafness.
