Colours

By: Jiraishin Posted on: December 30, 2011

I walk alone the darkened mines
Of Moghedu, or hunt Azdun
Where rarely any colour shines
But red of blood and undead eyes

And once more plunge into the fray
Down here where the only silver
Flashes down a keeper's blade.
My thoughts drift to a distant day

When all my effort brought to bear
Shall bring me far, to Ashaxei,
The waiting sky, the Parthren Gare
And colours six, what wings to wear?

Blue with icy breath as cold
As any Evildoer's heart
Or master psi as shining Gold
Or pay homage to Serpent soul

And take the sky as poison Green
Or gleaming Silver, lightning strikes
To suit my love of blinding speed
And decimate my enemies

Or else claim Black, my acid breath
Consuming all, like Abbadon
Merciless, corroding flesh
Undoubtedly a fitting death

For any who would dare oppose
A follower of Suffering.
Or I could wield an Inferno's
Worth of fire, char their bones

As fearsome Red, fury unleashed--
And red drips from a rapier.
The realisation that I bleed
Jolts me from my reverie.

I flee the room. I do not die.
But now my mind is far away
From Dragon wings or Ashaxei
My thoughts are on the hunt as I

Walk alone the darkened graves
Of Azdun, or hunt Moghedu
My goal for now is far away,
The only colours, eyes of wraiths

And my own blood. Yet still I ponder
What that distant day might hold:
Choice of colours, waiting yonder.
Once again, my thoughts do wander.
