The [[mount]] was endowed with the gift of flight as well as a [[Collar of Lupus]]. The steed had the body of a horse with the head and wings of an eagle. Rather than hooves, its forelegs were talons, also like a bird of prey. The hippogriff was a shiny charcoal black, almost blue.
