I'll try this again in the proper place this time. Can we agree upon one way of naming city/village categories? Either the same as the area i.e. Cyrene denizens, or the same as the citizenry i.e. Ashtani denizens? Gnaash 20:09, 26 February 2007 (GMT)

Erhon started this and I jumped in to help. I'm sure it was lack of communication on my part as I'll admit I didn't check before creating categories and only noticed the difference later. I'll leave the decision up to Erhon, though, about how he wants things changed if at all. Madelyne 22:45, 26 February 2007 (GMT)

Me personally, I'd prefer citizenry over just city/village, but the fact is that it won't be conforming either way due to how many categories and subcategories there are. I'm happy that we managed to sort through all four pages of Denizens and get the subcategories to fit on one page, I leave the decision to another Head Chronicler if they feel the need to conform the entire thing in such a manner. Regarding denizen title bolding: just letting everyone know I've gone through all the articles in this category, plus the subarticles A through K, if anyone wants to pick up where I left off before I return. Thanks. Asara 20:58, 22 March 2007 (GMT)

Over the past few days I meandered through the remainder of the subarticles, L through X. Madelyne 04:14, 26 March 2007 (GMT)

Regarding denizen title bolding again, should words like "a", "an", or "the" be included if they are the first word in a denizen's INFO HERE name? (Examples of where this bolding does occur can be found in the toymaker (Caer Witrin) and florist (Caer Witrin) pages. Examples of where this does -not- occur can be found in the following pages: beast in the crypt, Guardian of Nature, Zarathustran eagle, dracolich, among others.) --Krypton 21:35, 24 January 2008 (GMT)

I think what we did in these cases (non-phrased denizens) was to bold solely the article title (as is the standard format for all wiki articles). The toymaker and florist were not proper nouns or specific enough, so included bolding of further IH attributes to make them more signature/identifiable. Asara 22:49, 24 January 2008 (GMT)
I think some names are differentially deserving of bolding "the", "a", or "an" when they are the first word in a full title. I think this is a possible compromise: those words should be bolded only if it is possible for them to be translocated in any way such that they would appear in the middle of a title and end up being bold by default. For instance, it would be proper to bold "the artist, Vinci" fully because that could easily be re-said as "Vinci, the artist". On the other hand, things such as "the beast in the crypt", "the Guardian of Nature", and "an elderly florist" should not have those words bolded because there is no way to restructure the title such that those words appear in the middle. --Krypton 22:50, 28 January 2008 (GMT)
