It was said that perhaps Bearnath was once human, but now he has been monstrously transformed somehow. His head is now covered with a thick, wirey mane, and his face is contorted into a bestial form with a short, broad nose giving him an appearance of a bear. His paw-like hands are broad and covered with fur, in one of which rests a bone dagger. The black robe that covers the rest of his considerable bulk is tattered and well worn.
