(Author's note: In the rustic style of the villanelle.)

Let the banner of His greatness be unfurled.

Reveal the Truths to peoples of the land

And all shall walk in fear across the world.

Strike up the proud musicians in silver purled.

With crashing cymbals praise Him, and

Let the banner of His greatness be unfurled.

Armed in steel, Perdition notched and knurled,

His kingdom nigh as missionaries planned

And all shall walk in fear across the world.

Like the sanguine fog around the mountain swirled

Ere mortal sacrifice implored the LORD to stand,

Let the banner of His greatness be unfurled

From 'round the lance of Evil whence it curled.

Send forth the wolves among the bleating band

And all shall walk in fear across the world!

From Baelgrim, fateful proclamations hurled,

That dread atrocity shall overtake the land.

Let the banner of His greatness be unfurled

And all shall walk in fear across the world.
