An officer in the Ninth Legion of the Royal [[Ashtan|Ashtani]] Army during the reign of [[Ashtan#Famous Faces|King Martin the Wise]], '''Amphites''' the Polemarch once governed the island outpost of [[Shala-Khulia]]. After the deaths of his wife [[Carina]] and many of his soldiers, Amphites and his men were recalled to Ashtan. He never returned, however, as his ship was wrecked upon the shore of the northern forest [[Rheodad]].

Serving directly under the Polemarch and interred within a tomb in Rheodad are the spearmen [[Daeon]], [[Eurynestes]], [[Martorius]], [[Pascas]], [[Phidaeon]], and [[Shastaos]].
