Alcohol is one of several Achaean drugs, taking middle ground between cactus weed and gleam in terms of its effects on the body. According to legend, mead was the first alcohol and it was discovered by Celani Demeter using her Thyrsus to uncover the secrets of honey. Alcohol, drunkenness and all other consequences of modern drinking were popularised in the year 196 AF.

Basic Alcohol

At least a few types of alcohol can be found in every city, but few places will contain every type. The base types of alcohol in Achaea are as follows:

  • Ale
  • Mead
  • Wine
  • Champagne
  • Cider
  • Rum
  • Liquor
  • Tequila
  • Whiskey
  • Vodka
  • Cocktail

Speciality Alcohol

Every city has its own unique array of liquors for adventurers to enjoy or kill themselves with.

Effects of Alcohol Consumption

Initially, the effects of imbibing alcohol produce mild euphoria as well as a slight slurring of speech. However, additional consumption quickly makes the slurring more noticeable. Other significant effects include, but are not limited to: stumbling, fumbling, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, the loss of consciousness, and death.

Remember, drink responsibly.
