A dream of Khazadmakan.

I am Tsol'aa scholar and scribe,

Sleeping with sway of wine imbibed.

This tale I tell of evil theme,

History revealed in a dream.

Brother blood but spirit apart,

Born of hate was the Qui'anar heart.

Countless stories which bear their name,

This is one of much smaller fame...

I am Tsol'teth soldier and strife,

Son of the only rightful life.

Donned the emblazoned purple dress,

Marching through a ruined fortress.

Empty now of Lorewarden sway,

Bunkered belly we cleanse this day.

Throughout the halls and down the stairs,

Comrades in arms give up small prayers...

I am goblin master and creep,

A furtive sergeant of the deep.

Ancient castle fell overhead,

We live in dungeons of the dead.

Our stronghold stands against our foes,

Hidden home where the goblin goes.

Safe from blue sky and burning sun,

Now stand the guardsmen of Azdun...

I am Tsol'teth magi and might,

Pacing west through stony night.

Fire flickers in distance great,

Foolish error which sealed their fate.

Sipping potion which bolsters mind,

Fellow sorcerers act in kind.

Raise my hands in preparation,

Magics of eradication...

I am goblin sentry and scout,

Firelight bright and fellows stout.

Countless days we have watched from here,

Boredom does much to numb my fear.

Without warning came a queer noise,

Jumping up I stand firm with poise.

Suddenly blinded with a flash,

Pain and fire burned me to ash...

I am Tsol'teth angry and war,

My boots thunder across the floor.

Our witches had burned down their gates,

With my sword I shall deal some fates.

From up above and on both sides,

Rush my enemies to save their prides.

Sword and mace and dagger and bow,

Ruined I fell dead in the throe...

I am goblin warlord and king,

Now even here the screaming stings.

The throneroom deep in my domain,

I kneel before the shrine in pain.

Fiery serpent twists and turns,

Prolonged gaze and my stomach churns.

"Goddess Vengeance hear my plea,

Give us power to set us free..."

I am Lachesis, Spider Queen,

It is my emblem on Tsol seams.

I stand on corpses piled high,

Ignorant beasts deserved to die.

Flaming skull marks a massive map,

Khazadmakan fell to my trap.

Now I laugh cruelly at the throne,

Ruled forever by naught but bones...

I am the Death, frozen and black,

Goblin souls I reach to take back.

I hear a voice close to My ear,

It would seem my Sister is here.

"Brother Thoth, release these mortals,

They are Mine and cannot cross Your portals."

I turn frowning to Her vision,

"What brings You to this decision?"

"Vengeful hate cannot be rested,

They return where they were bested."

Despite my hate for living dead,

Their souls follow Keresis' tread.

Alone now in empty bleakness,

I cursed their souls for their weakness.

Wasting time I do so abhor,

Their dead shall walk forevermore...

I am Tsol'aa scholar and scribe,

Sleeping with sway of wine imbibed.

Nightmare turns to fields fonder,

Deathgod fades as my mind wanders.

Waking later and wielding pen,

Revising tale yet again.

Young hunters kill undead for fun,

Know they histories of Azdun?
