Journey to Harae
By: Gnaash Posted on: April 23, 2008
One day, Autumn
Leaf was fallen
Red and brown around Muurn Lake.
Gnaash feel tired,
Uninspired.
No could think no art to make.
So off go walking,
Front door knocking,
Find adventure where it be.
Pass some mountain,
Thalassa Fountain,
Over rock and under Tree;
Met a thief
By Crystal Leaf
So hurry off into the wood.
Sample fauna
Of Aureliana
(Baby hedgehog do taste good!)
Wander south
Past cavern mouth
Before turn west to Fork in road.
Then up again
Above the din
Of bridge construction down below.
As Gnaash explore,
Not long before
Arrive on shoal of shell and sand.
Couple of acre
Beyond the breakers
Step onto a rocky strand.
Beach of pumice,
Drab and frumpish,
Crunch beneath Gnaash buckawn soles.
Climb over trail
Down into vale
Among thick root and piney boles.
Through muddy pool
Bubbling, cruel
Dusty path wend its way.
As above
In buzzing drove
Huge, yellow wasp greet the day.
A horn report
In sound cut short
Some body need some help nearby.
Gnaash go running,
Stumbling, stunning
As globs of mud go whizzing by.
Dodge aside,
Almost collide
With shapeless poharaehe beast.
By Great Gruul's blood,
Troll do like mud,
Almost as much as tribal feast;
But amorphous mass
Of muck and gas
No be no pleasure for any soul.
Gnaash chop and hacks
With dwarven axe
And fury of a hundred trolls.
When foe go down
In puddles drown,
Gnaash look to see a tattooed man
With olive skin,
Strong and thin,
Beside a ruin gate he stand.
With friendly smile
Gnaash take a while
To gather branches all around
And mend the gate,
To heal the fate
Of villagers on solid ground.
Sea wind whip
As Gnaash make trip
Return by ways to mountain home.
Twice as tired
But now inspired
By adventure and the lust to roam.
