Spider-shot is a unit of ship ammunition which, when fired from an onager, can tangle in the rigging of a target ship, rendering its sails useless. Spider-shot consists of seven bits of long rope weighted with scraps of iron and, when coated with dragon's tears, will cause the target ship to catch fire.
When fired at sea monsters, spidershot will decrease the damage of a creatures next attack.
