Aldar are mortal beings. They don't have divine essence. Maya has divine-style honors as an side effect of being former divine probably. Supporting quotes below:

• 'At the last, he created the Elder Gods and the Aldar, to serve them. The Elder Gods he infused with a small, finite, portion of his own boundless power and gave them the gift of immortality. Nowhere does it say Ayar made Aldar immortal.

In fact, when Maya reverted to Aldar and she said quite clearly she is returned to a mortal life.

Enheduanna was another Aldar, killed (albeit with great difficulty) by mortals. No divine fire.
