Kresslack started as a Novice in the city of Hashan. He was inducted into the Black Lotus as a young Infernal, and trained his skills for a few years there. While he was born and raised in the village of Tomacula before being reborn in the Flame and adopted by Alasha and Shayne De'Verres. Kresslack eventually left Hashan to travel to Mhaldor, joining the Maldaathi and serving for a number of years. In time, he changed class to Serpent and join the Naga. This was his House for many years to follow, having been inducted under Ulrike, with whom he was close. After Ulrike's departure, he decided to rejoin the Maldaathi and continued that path for a few years before he was cast out of House and City both due to accusations of treason by a Troni.

An investigation was conducted, and the accusations proved to be false. Kresslack was unenemied to both House and City, but he did not seek to rejoin those that had so easily discarded him and his loyalty. He traveled to the Bastion of the North, a place wherein resided many of his family and friends. After discussing it and thinking it over, he was made a citizen of Ashtan, where he still lives to this day.
