Skill categories are available for deletion. Ability pages should be used to flesh out the original skill pages before deletion. Madelyne 20:37, 8 August 2007 (GMT)

Should probably leave redirect pages (eg. Meteor Arrow) alone; don't delete them. Eventually, someone is going to try and find an article with capitals, they'll plug it directly into the url and they won't find it because anything after the first word needs to match exactly in terms of capital letters. (eg. 'Warlocks of the rising phoenix' is not the same article as 'Warlocks of the Rising Phoenix'). I know I've done it more than once, and I'm also aware that I could just use the Search box. Not sure if anyone else has experienced it though. --Kunama 13:37, 17 September 2007 (GMT)

I think I've noticed, however, that incorrect capitalisations in your search immediately take you to the correctly-uncapitalised page you are looking for, without needing a redirect. (Examples: Drinking Horn --> Drinking horn, Horn of Plenty --> Horn of plenty. Indeed, I categorised those capitalised enchantment articles as pending deletion because no such capitalised redirect equivalent exists for artefacts with uncapitalised names.) (The only exception seems to be the incorrect capitalisation of minor prepositions and conjunctions in the title. For instance, Holy Church Of Achaea -/-> Holy Church of Achaea, Fire And Spice -/-> Fire and Spice, etc.) It's all very complicated, if you ask me! :) --Krypton 14:26, 17 September 2007 (GMT)
You are also right about how incorrect uncapitalisations CAN NOT bring you to the correctly capitalised page, but I hope this doesn't mean we will reach a consensus to create a redirect from every possible incorrectly-uncapitalised entry in the search box! (Warlocks of the rising phoenix, Warlocks of the Rising phoenix, Warlocks of the rising Phoenix, oi!) I suppose how the wiki works is that it can pull you back (wrong capitalisation to right uncapitalisation) if you go too far with your search, but it cannot bring you a step forward (wrong uncapitalisation to right capitalisation) if you don't go far enough with your search. --Krypton 14:31, 17 September 2007 (GMT)

Please see the double redirects page. I'm pretty sure most of them are unnecessary to keep because, as is discussed above on this page, using incorrect capitalisations in the search terms is immediately corrected by the wiki - no redirect needed. --Krypton 22:29, 30 December 2007 (GMT)

As per AchaeanLore:Formatting:

In order to create an article for a denizen, there must be an actual living interactive NPC. Being mentioned in text,
in room descriptions or by other methods, would not qualify. It would be fine to place these individual in a larger
article, such as a city article, instead. Also consider other categories such as the Historical Figures category.
the Korkill and Bailin articles ought to be deleted. In all honesty, from room descriptions alone, we don't even know if they are "alive", and thus we don't know whether they should be categorised as denizens or historical figures. I suggest just having the two of them mentioned in passing on the Ashtan page (as they are now) and leave it at that. --Krypton 22:35, 1 January 2008 (GMT)

When a page is deleted, is the option presented of also deleting the associated Talk page (like it is to move an associated Talk page when you move an article)? --Krypton 21:57, 26 January 2008 (GMT)

I don't think so, it should just destroy them, but it doesn't, which is lame. --Corvax 22:45, 26 January 2008 (GMT)
There are sadly still countless of parent-page-less Talks out there. I guess at least now we know to keep that from growing. --Krypton 23:00, 26 January 2008 (GMT)
