'''Anathema''' is a state similar to [[excommunication]] in which a Necromancer is cut off from their ability to regain the [[necromantic essence]] necessary to use many important skills in [[Necromancy]] and [[Apostasy]]. Short of the [[Lords of Evil]] themselves, only the [[Dread Ecclesiarch of Transvital Corruption]] may do this.
