Now I'm thoroughly confused. At the moment, I am staying consistent with Cyclops as the Actar denizen and Cyclopes as the plural race as you have suggested. What are we doing? Can you log on Achaea so we can talk? =D [[User:Asara|Asara]] 00:39, 19 June 2007 (GMT) | Now I'm thoroughly confused. :I'd log on if I wasn't still shrubbed. Thing is, "cyclops" is singular, "cyclopes" is plural, and "cyclopean" is possessive. ("The head cyclops commanded all of the other cyclopes to build a cyclopean monument.") With an entire race, the cyclops in Actar becomes an unnamed member of a larger race, rather than an individual with "Cyclops" as a proper name. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclops for more usage info. {{User:Delphinus/sig1}} 00:50, 19 June 2007 (GMT) |
